Time-saving Features for Altering Multiple Mailboxes

December 9, 2008 by Chris Sullivan

Save time when needing to alter several mailboxes at once by using the Template Editing and Range of Mailboxes features.

Template Editing is a technique that allows you to select a group or define a range of mailboxes to edit, then choose one mailbox to act as a template. When you change the settings in the template mailbox and save it, the telephony server automatically applies your changes to all of the other mailboxes.  Note: Template editing is available for specific fields in call processor and subscriber mailboxes only. Additional information is available in the CallXpress Administration Guide (page 28-29 for CallXpress 7.91)

I am considering upgrading from 7.8 to 7.91 but would like to know more about template editing. I tried to find a copy of the CallXpres Admin Guide for 7.91 online to see what call processor and subcriber mailboxes field are available for altering multiple mailboxes, but I have not been able to find a copy online. Can you tell me what fields are or are not available for altering multiple mailboxes? And does this feature user friendly?

    TechSec,

Yes, the 7.91 Admin Guide covers Template Editing. Send me your email address, and I’ll provide you a copy of it.
