AVST Streamlines Government Purchasing with PEPPM Contracts
PEPPM California has awarded a multi-state contract to AVST. We’ve already performed much of the legwork for public institutions, nonprofits and government agencies with our existing PEPPM Pennsylvania contract, as well as other government cooperative purchasing contracts. These programs reduce the time, effort and cost of purchasing technology products by eliminating the need for public agencies to execute a drawn out bidding process in order to upgrade or replace their unified communications (UC) capabilities. It ensures the most favorable pricing and complete bid protection.
What is PEPPM
PEPPM is a national technology bidding and purchasing cooperative designed to streamline the purchasing process for school districts, colleges, cities, counties, state governments, libraries, and other public agencies and nonprofits. Most states have statutes regulating cooperative purchasing by public agencies. These regulations typically require a lengthy and extensive bidding process. PEPPM presents these state agencies and government units with a faster, more efficient option.
- Favored customer pricing
- Bid protection
- One-stop shopping, complete with search engines
- A secure purchasing environment
- The ability to quickly place orders
PEPPM originated in Pennsylvania, conceived as a program to allow state organizations to shop for and buy tens of thousands of items from hundreds of product lines that are all bid discounted and bid protected. The program has been administered for 35 years by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU), a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Over the years, the purchasing program has grown beyond the state boundaries, serving a multitude of school districts, higher education, libraries, and other government agencies outside of Pennsylvania.
With the addition of the California contract, all 50 U.S. states can utilize these PEPPM contracts to ease the purchasing of technology products. PEPPM purchases are legally protected under the bid laws of Pennsylvania, California, and participating states, where applicable.
AVST Government Contracts
AVST unified communications applications are on the PEPPM contract, enabling colleges, public agencies and nonprofits to make immediate purchases of our products. CX-E applications – including secure voice messaging, unified messaging, mobile client, speech-enabled personal assistant, automated attendant, IVR, call center, and notification – are all eligible.
PEPPM is just one of the purchasing contracts AVST has in place. We have negotiated numerous cooperative purchasing contracts including GSA Schedule, New York State Office of General Services (NY OGS), Texas DIR, and the Ohio State Term Schedule.
AVST’s solutions are used by many of the largest public universities, municipalities, county and state agencies because of their interoperability. If you have multiple vendors – Avaya, Cisco, Google, Microsoft – all playing a role in your IT/telephony environment, AVST’s software can make them work together for a powerful, up-to-date UC solution.
