Empower your workforce with the best communications tools available: in the office, on the road, or working remotely. Unified Messaging (UM) provides users with one central hub for all their messages – email, voicemail, fax – on the digital device they prefer. The right UM toolset can increase productivity, improve customer satisfaction, maintain high levels of reliability and security, and meet regulatory compliance.

Microsoft Exchange Online UM

Microsoft announced the discontinuation of support for SBCs to connect third-party PBX systems to Exchange Online Unified Messaging in July 2018. What does this mean? Office 365 customers will no longer be able to directly connect 3rd party PBX systems with Exchange Online UM, and will have to implement an alternative approach in order to provide voicemail or unified messaging to their users.

While this announcement won’t affect the majority of the Microsoft world, it does impact a number of organizations and enterprises. Eleven months is a short time frame to purchase and deploy a solution, especially for a large enterprise.

Looking to continue to use your 3rd party PBX? AVST offers a solution that allows you to maximize your existing on-premise PBX investments, while leaving a smooth path forward to a Skype for Business in the future. AVST is currently offering a significant incentive to ease the economic impact of this UM challenge for enterprises.
