Since September 2003, when he assumed this leadership position, AVST's software solution, CallXpress, has become the premier enterprise communications platform designed to facilitate the migration from legacy TDM call processing and voice mail solutions to new IP-enabled unified communications solutions, delivering the interoperability, scalability, feature flexibility and administrative capabilities enterprise IT and Telecom teams are demanding. Over the past 20 years, in addition to leading AVST, Hardy has held senior management positions with emerging private and public companies in the telecommunications, automotive, aerospace and defense market sectors with a primary focus on building organizations and raising the capital necessary to capitalize on the growth opportunities in a given market.

Tom Minifie was promoted to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in October 2008. In this role, Tom is responsible for the strategic direction of the Company's CallXpress product line. Prior to his promotion to CTO, Tom served as the Vice President of Product Management for AVST since its inception in 2003. Previously, Tom held a variety of executive level positions in the sales, business development and marketing organizations of Captaris, Inc. and its predecessor company, Applied Voice Technology ("AVT"). Tom is a recognized authority in the field of Unified Communications and a frequent speaker on the topic. Tom has also spent considerable time cultivating strategic technical relationships with many of the industry's leading technology companies including Aastra/Ericsson, Alcatel–Lucent, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Mitel and NEC.  Prior to joining the communications industry, Tom held various sales and marketing positions within the high tech industry. 


Chris Sullivan

Director of Sales Engineering
Serving in his current capacity as Director of Sales Engineering, Neil Butler is responsible for supporting the AVST employees and channel partners in their efforts to present and sell the AVST solutions. In his sixteen years with Applied Voice Technology (AVT), Captaris and AVST, Neil has held positions in sales, marketing, product management and sales engineering.

Matt Sawyer
Senior Product Manager
As a Senior Product Manager at AVST, Matt Sawyer is an integral part of the AVST Product Management team that is responsible for all AVST products. The Product Management team works hand-in-hand with the various other teams at AVST and with strategic partners to ensure that AVST offers the products and services that our reseller channel and end-customers are looking for. Additionally, Matt manages the AVST Beta Program involving customer trials of upcoming product releases. Prior to joining AVST in 2006, Matt spent 12 years at Ericsson in the Enterprise division doing development, project management, and training for the MD110 PBX and related applications including Ericsson’s OEM version of CallXpress. Matt has also held positions in IT on both the voice and data sides of the house.

Community Success Director
Linda joined AVST in November 2010 as the Community Success Director. Linda brings over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and information technology industry holding positions in system design, IVR development, sales engineering, project and program management, and enterprise architecture. With her most recent experience as an AVST customer, it gives her the unique perspective to support the AVST User Group, on-line community, AVST blogs, User Forum, and all end-user related groups and events. Linda is the direct link from the end-user customer to the internal product development and engineering teams.


Dana Morio

Marketing Manager
Dana Morio brings 10 years experience in the communication industry with focus on telephony and messaging.  She currently is responsible for Product Marketing working closely with Product Management on positioning the product to customers and providing the right tools (brochures, movies, datasheets, case studies, etc) to highlight the values of our solution.  Prior to joining AVST in 2006, Dana worked at Ericsson where she served as the Worldwide Product Manager for the OEM version of CallXpress.
