Active Voice Announces New Embedded Visual Messaging Solution
New ViewMail® for GroupWise® Application Provides Support for Novell® E-mail Software

Effective Message Management from the Desktop
Active Voice's embedded visual messaging solutions provide a quick and convenient way to manage voice, fax and e-mail messages from one universal mailbox. For example, by using Active Voice’s ViewMail for Microsoft Messaging (VMM) with Outlook, ViewMail for Lotus Notes (VML), and now VMG, prioritizing voice, fax, and e-mail messages is much simpler. Subscribers can select which voice message they want to listen to first, similar to how they would prioritize an e-mail message. Users can also reply, redirect or archive voice and fax messages for later reference. In addition, all of the easy-to-use features of Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise, including drop down menus, toolbar buttons, context sensitive help, and tool tips, are available for use.
The VMM, VML and VMG applications offer users intuitively designed interfaces that allow the use of VCR-style buttons for playing messages. Subscribers can use the mouse to click on the Rewind, Pause, or Fast Forward buttons to move quickly through messages, thereby streamlining the messaging process. A position slider shows where they are in the message, and lets them move immediately to any part of the message. Subscribers can also redirect voice over the Internet and save voice messages as .WAV files when they attach them to an e-mail message.
Active Voice’s embedded visual messaging applications support some of the latest e-mail clients. VMG supports GroupWise versions 5.0, 6.0 and 6.5, VMM supports Outlook 98, 2000 and 2003, and VML supports Lotus Notes versions 5, 6 and 6.5. The embedded messaging applications are available through Active Voice’s domestic reseller channel, strategic partners and international offices in the Netherlands and Australia.
