Active Voice Ranks Third for North American Systems Shipped and Fourth for Global Unified Messaging Mailboxes Shipped in The Telecom Intelligence Group’s “InfoTrack for Converged Application” Analysis

SEATTLE, WA - September 11, 2007 - Active Voice, LLC, a global provider of voice mail, Unified Messaging, Unified Communications and speech-activated solutions, announced its position as third leading Unified Messaging (UM) provider for messaging systems shipped in North America, and fourth leading Unified Messaging provider for UM mailboxes shipped globally, according to the InfoTrack for Converged Applications (ICA) Full Year 2006 North America and Global Messaging Reports, published by The Telecom Intelligence Group (TIG).

“The findings of The Telecom Intelligence Group’s research recognizes Active Voice’s 25 year history of demonstrated innovation and market leadership as a company with more than 200,000 messaging systems installed worldwide,” said Eyal Inbar, General Manager of Marketing, Active Voice. “As Unified Messaging and Communications continue to build momentum in the global business community, Active Voice is helping customers migrate from legacy solutions to Unified Communications in a gradual approach; supporting them in the transition at their own pace. We continue to demonstrate the value of Unified Communications, in terms of productivity and cost reduction to organizations, by using Unified Messaging capabilities and intelligent messaging technologies. And knowing what our customers need, we will continue to design powerful products with ‘people-oriented’ features so users can work in ways that make sense for them and their organization.”

“Active Voice showed strong growth in 2006, according to the InfoTrack for Converged Applications Full Year 2006 North America Messaging Report, published by The Telecom Intelligence Group,” said Ken Dolsky, Vice President and ICA Program Director at TIG. “The report shows that North America mailbox shipments by Active Voice rose by 22.7% in 2006 compared to 2005, and the company earned 9.5% of the market in overall mailbox shipments (voice mail and unified messaging combined), ranking the company third in North America for voice mail and unified messaging systems shipped among leading vendors. In addition, the TIG ICA report on 2006 Global Messaging shows Active Voice ranked fifth globally in total mailbox shipments and fourth in unified messaging mailboxes.”

“Active Voice continues to look forward with new intelligent messaging functionality that addresses key needs in a business' choice of telephony solutions - increased productivity, simple deployment and ease of use,” said Sandra Gustavsen, Analyst at TelecomTactics, a database and newsletter publication that covers the business telephony industry. “Reach me anytime” features are considered essential these days, particularly in North American businesses, and Active Voice's new productivity applications for its Kinesis unified messaging solution, ViewCall, FindMe FollowMe and VideoMail, improve the quality and speed of communications - providing opportunities to increase business revenue and profitability.”

Recently, Active Voice launched the release of its next generation Unified Messaging system, Kinesis 3.0, delivering a wide range of innovative messaging and mobility features that help companies streamline communications and business workflow, such as convenient access to voice, fax and e-mail messages from the phone, Microsoft Outlook® client or browser.

Active Voice also introduced VideoMail as an integrated component of Kinesis 3.0. It is a first-of-its-kind solution offered with the Unified Communications technology landscape. With VideoMail, users will be able to create and deliver video messages and screen captures via e-mail. Moreover, users will be able to record and playback voice and video messages from their Outlook client. Users will also choose to create a video with a camera or record an animated screen capture, or both. The flexibility of VideoMail also enables audio files created during video capture to be accessed and played back via phone.
