Active Communications Europe Signs Master Distributor Agreement with AVST

Active Communications secures roadmap and services on Unified Communications portfolio

Almere, ZH, Netherlands, June 6, 2010 -  Active Communications, a solutions provider of Unified Communications (UC), computer telephony and voice and fax messaging today announced that it has signed a Master Distributor agreement for the full range of AVST and Active Voice products in key European markets. This master distribution agreement ensures that users of Active Voice products across Europe have a new guarantee of service and software continuity.

The agreement brings certainty and opportunity to the local marketplace for both customers and telecommunications integrators using Active Voice products as a result of AVST’s purchase of NEC's Active Voice division last month.

The new relationship signals a commitment from both companies to deliver highly interoperable, scalable and tailored UC solutions to customers across the enterprise.

Organizations in the region which currently use Active Voice products will have access to the full AVST product range, which includes CallXpress® 8, a comprehensive UC platform designed to transform individual, group and enterprise productivity, as well as continued support for Repartee for Windows®, Repartee for Linux® and Repartini®.

Marco de Jager, responsible for Business Development within Active Communications said, "Active Communications entered the partnership with AVST because AVST offers the only PBX independent solution for customers to gradually migrate towards Unified Communications. The Active Voice solutions and the CallXpress solution perfectly complement our current appliance based Microsoft Unified Communications solution.”

Paul Cheslaw, AVST Vice President and Managing Director, EMEA is delighted to add Active Communications as a distributor to its channel within Europe. Cheslaw said, “Active Communications is the right partner for AVST having demonstrated a wealth of experience and knowledge of the Active Voice platforms as well as providing outstanding Unified Communications capabilities for our current channel and customers.”
