AVST Selects Oak as UK Distribution Partner

LONDON, November 10, 2010 - Oak today announced that it has been selected by Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), a leading provider of enterprise communications solutions, as a distribution partner in the UK.  Oak has expanded its product portfolio and now offers AVST’s advanced Unified Communications (UC) platform, CallXpress®.

AVST’s CallXpress is the industry’s most interoperable UC platform with over 400 TDM and IP telephony integrations and the ability to support multiple telephony switches on a single system. CallXpress delivers world class applications including advanced call processing, voicemail, unified messaging, personal assistant, fax, speech, and notification capabilities. With CallXpress, an organization can protect and extend its existing data and telephony infrastructure investment — now and into the future.

On the worldwide stage, CallXpress has been hugely successful in helping companies to seamlessly transition to next generation communications platforms. Whilst there are over 2000 installations in the UK, AVST is expanding distribution to address the growing market requirements for CallXpress and unified messaging into the UK market.

"Oak is a great distribution partner for AVST," said Ian Massingham, AVST Sales Director, EMEA.  "They are woven into the fabric of the UK telecoms channel, having worked in this marketplace for many years, and are well placed to move CallXpress forward within the partner community."

"The CallXpress product set enables our channel partners to easily address new and legacy market opportunities and drive incremental revenues, especially in this challenging market," said James Emm, Oak Joint CEO.  "With CallXpress a customer can keep the PBX they have and extend its value by delivering UC capabilities such as unified messaging, mobility, call processing, and the award winning speech capabilities, such as the voice-driven automated attendant and personal assistant. We look forward to bringing CallXpress to customers looking to enhance user and business efficiency."
