AVST Demonstrates Campus Mobility at ACUTA
950+ Educational Institutions Increase Productivity with CallXpress
ORLANDO, Fla., April 4, 2011 – This week at ACUTA 2011, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) will be showcasing an all-new, theater-style booth, addressing key IT initiatives for colleges and universities today, including mobility, centralization, virtualization, and deploying private cloud to public cloud UC solutions. Located in booth #401 on the show floor at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort, AVST will hold ongoing, live presentations on how to consolidate and centralize an institution’s voice infrastructure, virtualize communications and deploy private cloud to public cloud UC solutions.
AVST will also demonstrate how to drive campus mobility through features such as find-me/follow-me, unified messaging, single number access, notification and fixed-mobile convergence to keep faculty informed while on the move. “Over the last year we have seen an increase in application investments as universities continue to seek ways to get the most out of their IT budgets,” said Denny Michael, AVST’s Vice President of Marketing. “As IT decision makers are evaluating architectures that enable cost savings, they will find that AVST delivers key features that drive mobility while integrating into a university’s existing, and often disparate, telephony and e-mail landscapes.”
Also at ACUTA, Hardy Myers, President & CEO of AVST, will be speaking on the future of Unified Communications on April 4th at 10:45am. In addition, AVST will hold a Higher Education User Group meeting on April 4, 2011 from 3:45pm to 5:15pm for all AVST customers who are also ACUTA members. Members will receive an extensive company overview and product roadmap, review some unique applications used by other universities, and learn about future plans for the user group. There will be a question and answer period following the presentation.

About AVST
The typical enterprise communications infrastructure is made up of a collection of technologies from multiple vendors, acquired over time and never intended to work together. To maximize user and business productivity, while leveraging existing IT investments, interoperability is a must.
AVST delivers the industry's most interoperable Unified Communications (UC) platform that brings best-of-breed voice, mobility and business process solutions to the enterprise. Unlike virtually every other UC vendor, AVST does not constrain customers with a single vendor lock-in approach. In fact, it's the very opposite. By connecting new and existing technologies, AVST frees organizations from the constraints of a closed, single-source UC solution, unlocking the full potential of their communications infrastructure.
With over 15 million users worldwide and three decades of innovation excellence, AVST is unifying communications®.
Headquartered in Orange County, California, AVST maintains facilities in Seattle, Washington, Victoria B.C., Canada and the United Kingdom and has remote sales offices throughout the United States.
