AVST Hosts Annual Oasis User and Reseller Conferences in Las Vegas

Events Offer Educational Forum for Customers and Channel Partners

LAS VEGAS, September 14, 2010 – Next week at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) will host its annual Oasis User Group and Reseller Conferences.  AVST’s Oasis User Conference will be held September 19-21 and the Reseller Oasis will take place immediately following, September 22-24.

A leading provider of Unified Communications solutions, AVST holds the annual Oasis events for customers and partners to see and hear firsthand the latest in AVST’s company direction, product roadmap and competitive landscape.  The event attracts senior level decision-makers from AVST’s global customer base and top channel partners.

The AVST User Conference is a three-day event bringing together the company’s loyal users to obtain valuable information on products, features and roadmap planning.  AVST users have access to training sessions, case studies, a certification course and product demonstrations.  The event is invaluable for AVST customers to network and convene with AVST staff, as well as build relationships with fellow user group members.

The AVST Reseller Conference is also a three-day event that highlights products and services and provides a forum for collaboration and partnership with the AVST executive team and other channel partners.  The Reseller Oasis arms AVST partners with valuable competitive intelligence, product roadmap and sales strategies.

AVST President & CEO, Hardy Myers, will present an overview of the market and AVST’s company direction.  In addition, AVST Chief Technology Officer, Tom Minifie, will present product strategy and roadmap.

“Our Oasis events have always been about education and collaboration for our end users and channel partners.  Our customers and partners are some of the industry’s top professionals and our goal is for them to walk away energized about our company direction and more informed about our products and services,” said Denny Michael, AVST Vice President of Marketing.

The Oasis Conferences come on the heels of an active year for AVST.  In April, AVST announced an acquisition of Active Voice, a division of NEC.  In June, the company announced general availability of CallXpress® 8.1, the current version of its flagship Unified Communications solution.  And in July, AVST announced a letter of intent to acquire certain assets from Voice Mobility International, Inc.  In addition, AVST released the next version of Repartee® LX/LXi.  A primary focus for the Oasis events will be to discuss these and other important company activities and what they mean for users and partners.

About AVST

The typical enterprise communications infrastructure is made up of a collection of technologies from multiple vendors, acquired over time and never intended to work together. To maximize user and business productivity, while leveraging existing IT investments, interoperability is a must.

AVST delivers the industry's most interoperable Unified Communications (UC) platform that brings best-of-breed voice, mobility and business process solutions to the enterprise. Unlike virtually every other UC vendor, AVST does not constrain customers with a single vendor lock-in approach. In fact, it's the very opposite. By connecting new and existing technologies, AVST frees organizations from the constraints of a closed, single-source UC solution, unlocking the full potential of their communications infrastructure.

With over 15 million users worldwide and three decades of innovation excellence, AVST is unifying communications®.

Headquartered in Orange County, California, AVST maintains facilities in Seattle, Washington, Victoria B.C., Canada and the United Kingdom and has remote sales offices throughout the United States. AVST's UC solutions are sold and supported worldwide by an extensive network of resellers and OEM partners.
