AVST Introduces Weekly Web Seminar Series
AVST Live! Provides Collaborative Forum to Showcase Enterprise Communications Applications through Interactive Demonstrations
Foothill Ranch, Calif., May 12, 2004 – Applied Voice & Speech Technologies Inc. (AVST), a leading provider of enterprise communications applications (ECAs) for converged voice and data environments, today introduced a weekly Web seminar series titled "AVST Live!." The series, which will be presented live every Wednesday, provides a forum for AVST to demonstrate the capabilities of its powerful unified communications solutions to its rapidly expanding base of customers and resellers.
With over 150 resellers worldwide, AVST is responding to the increased demand for quick and easy access to live presentations focusing on product features and functionality and current industry topics. AVST Live! provides real-time access to content that will help resellers market AVST's solutions to their customer base and help customers better understand the company's products and services as well as AVST's position on current industry issues. Addressing the needs of its global audience, the AVST Live! format eliminates time zone constraints by giving users the option to view the live interactive presentations or access these presentations on demand at a later time via an online archive.
"AVST Live! provides participants with the ability to see our technology in action and chat with a consulting professional as well as interact with their peers," said Denny Michael, AVST Vice President of Marketing. "The purpose of these Web seminars is to offer a collaborative environment in which to demonstrate, in a hands-on manner, the power of our products."
The AVST Live! Web seminars, presented by AVST's top engineers, will be conducted every Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. pacific time, beginning May 19, 2004. The initial nine sessions are available to AVST resellers only and include the following topics:

About AVST
The typical enterprise communications infrastructure is made up of a collection of technologies from multiple vendors, acquired over time and never intended to work together. To maximize user and business productivity, while leveraging existing IT investments, interoperability is a must.
AVST delivers the industry's most interoperable Unified Communications (UC) platform that brings best-of-breed voice, mobility and business process solutions to the enterprise. Unlike virtually every other UC vendor, AVST does not constrain customers with a single vendor lock-in approach. In fact, it's the very opposite. By connecting new and existing technologies, AVST frees organizations from the constraints of a closed, single-source UC solution, unlocking the full potential of their communications infrastructure.
With over 15 million users worldwide and three decades of innovation excellence, AVST is unifying communications®.
Headquartered in Orange County, California, AVST maintains facilities in Seattle, Washington, Victoria B.C., Canada and the United Kingdom and has remote sales offices throughout the United States.
