New Version of Voice Activated Application Increases Productivity with Added Contact Management Functionality
Englewood, Colo., June 3, 2003 – Expanets, the nation’s largest provider of converged communication solutions to medium-sized businesses, today announces the release of Expanets Voice Control 2.0, an enhanced version of its branded contact management solution that integrates with phone, voicemail, fax and e-mail applications to more effectively manage calls and multi-media messaging by using voice commands.
Expanets Voice Control is a software-based unified office solution that enables users to manage calls and multimedia messaging by using simple voice commands, which eliminates the need for dialing and navigating through multiple directories and menus. Based on award-winning voice recognition technology from Sound Advantage, the newest version includes an improved user interface, which makes it easier to use through more intuitive features.
With Voice Control’s enhanced speech-enabled menus and audio text, callers are routed more quickly and efficiently, and users can logon to Voice Control 2.0 via voice commands instead of keypad strokes.
“To support our goal of helping businesses implement effective IP Telephony solutions, Expanets is developing complementary applications that provide the mid-sized client with the same level of functionality that larger businesses enjoy, scaled to meet their size and budget,” said Chris Younger, President of Expanets. “Voice Control incorporates sophisticated, time-saving features into a businesses’ communications platform without a big price-tag or extensive administration.”
To help businesses contain costs while maintaining and improving employee productivity, Voice Control 2.0 has been developed to integrate seamlessly with third party voicemail systems. This means businesses can use Voice Control without replacing their current voicemail platform and still benefit from the system’s time- and money-saving capabilities.
“The release of Voice Control 2.0 is another milestone in our long-term relationship with Expanets to design, develop and deliver speech-enabled communications solutions that enhance and extend the installed communications infrastructure of their mid-sized customers,” said Hardy Myers, President, Sound Advantage.
With Voice Control, businesses are finding that productivity quickly and steadily increases when employees, whether in remote or virtual offices, have quick and easy access to their mission-critical communications like e-mail, voicemail and fax. In fact, MMI Realty Services utilizes Voice Control to help streamline and facilitate communication between its employees and clients.
“We were pleased to learn that with Expanets Voice Control, our business could make a sizable impact on internal and external communications without a sizable increase in the budget,” said Thomas N. Klein, Principal, MMI Realty Services. “We implemented Voice Control seamlessly with our current system and then trained our staff to use it in order to ease their administrative pressures.”
