Active Voice Delivers Voicemail Direct from RSS Feeds

Leading Unified Messaging Provider Helps Users Stay Up to Date with New Innovation in Upcoming Release of Repartee® version 10.0

SEATTLE, WA—November 13, 2007 - Active Voice, LLC, a global provider of Unified Messaging, Unified Communications and speech-activated solutions, today announced plans to deliver voice and fax messages directly via Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds, a popular technology that sends information—or in this case, voicemail and fax—to users on their desktop or mobile device regardless of their physical location.

RSS technology is used to create a "feed" (list) of headlines or notifications that are delivered to subscribers. Offering convenience, users can subscribe to feeds from several Internet sites and automatically pull together headlines or notifications from all the sources into one list, allowing instant browsing capabilities without manually visiting each site.

Through Repartee version 10.0, Active Voice’s Unified Messaging (UM) system for small-to-medium businesses (SMBs), users can receive new voice or fax message notifications on their personalized Google page, on their favorite RSS news reader, on Microsoft Outlook®, as podcast on their Apple® iPod or as Live Bookmark when using a modern web browser (i.e., Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 7).

“Active Voice is the first UM provider in the market to offer the delivery of voice and fax messages via RSS feeds,” said Eyal Inbar, General Manager of Marketing, Active Voice. “This advanced new feature is just one of many new Active Voice innovations that leverages the flexibility and reliability of open standards and technologies creating new ways for the workforce to keep in touch. Our bottom line to users who continue to use or will begin deployment of Repartee is to radically simplify installation, administration, operation and usability whenever and wherever they want.”

Repartee version 10.0 is a PC-based Unified Messaging appliance that is built upon a proven software code and the Linux operating system, offering SMBs growth potential and sustainability. It will be available to SMBs in November 2007 through Active Voice dealers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
